Youth Suicide Reports

These reports contain data on suicide deaths and suicide attempts among youth in Los Angeles County. When it comes to suicide prevention, the words, phrases, and statistics we use can have a significant impact on the way messages are received. Messages can encourage someone to seek help and reach out, or they can push people further from the support they need. Before using any of the data provided on these reports in your work, please assess your data report, presentation, or talking points through a safety lens. Remember to emphasize that resources for support are available and provide information whenever possible. For more information and guidance, please watch Never a Bother's Safe Messaging Guidelines Video.
