Program Data & Outcomes
Many children and families in Los Angeles County have a hard time getting the health care they need. Since 2003, CHOI has helped more than 1.5 million people get health coverage and use it. Every year, CHOI supports thousands of families in applying for, keeping, and using their health insurance.
A study of the CHOI program in Los Angeles found that people who worked with CHOI were more likely to have a regular doctor’s office and less likely to face problems like not having insurance, not having enough money, or not having a way to travel to appointments.
